Leader Spotlight! 

Stephanie Shrake, CSTA Longwood President

 
Stephanie has been teaching at Avon Grove High School in West Grove, Pennsylvania for the last four years. Prior to teaching at AGHS, she worked in Baltimore City Public Schools in Baltimore, Maryland and was a Certified Public Accountant in the Health Insurance Industry. She received a BS in Accounting from Towson State University, MBA from Loyola University Maryland and a MSEd from University of Phoenix in Secondary Education in Business. In Fall 2018, she started the Girls Who Code program to encourage girls to explore computer science and a Lead4Change program called #AGE (#Avon Grove Equity), which expands financial literacy and coding skills to underrepresented students within her school district. In Spring 2020, she began the AG Computer Science Honor Society, where the student’s service will be to teach CS to the younger and underrepresented students within our district. She is also the advisor for Future Business Leaders of America, HACK Club and a Middle School Coding Club at her school district. She is also a board member of the CSTA CSHS and the founding President of the CSTA Longwood Chapter.
